Friends & Allies, Provinces, and Enemy Nations
Provinces:
Provinces were those nations who warred with Galia and lost. As a result, a governor was installed in each of these nations to ensure that the peace was kept.
As a province, they were expected to supply soldiers when directed, pay taxes as decided by the Senate, and pass laws only as Galia forbade.

Friends & Allies:
The Friend & Ally status was a most coveted alliance, offered to nations who willingly accepted Galia as their masters.
As a Friend & Ally one was provided fair trading deals, lower taxes, less Galian oversight and, of course, protection by Galia from other enemy nations.

Enemy Nations:
An enemy nation is just as it sounds. Galia held no influence over these nations, and while trade still took place, it was rarely done fairly.
